The design caters to the needs of a modern joint family of 4 generations and defines simplicity at its best. The client brief was very clear which was to have a home which is simple yet ethnic that would suit their lifestyle.

Entry to the living room is through a double height staircase lobby connecting to the second floor, whereas the dining and the living areas are devided by a breakfast counter.

To keep unity with nature, one side of the double height living room is closed with a clear glass which enables to fill up the house with daylight and allows the family to enjoy the view of the coconut trees outside the window.

The living, dining and the kitchen are combined in one open space on the lower floor and was designed such that the family could gather to cook, eat, read, hangout and enjoy each others company.

All 4 bedrooms were designed with different perspectives and requirements of the family members.

The furniture in the house is custom made.

 

The colour palette is composed of neutral tones like warm light grey and oyster white in order to give prominence to the furniture. Overall, a cozy house where tranquility and peace is found in abundance.
